Dr. Wells’ research is focused on improving health and performance under extreme conditions. He studies the impact of muscle, lung, heart and metabolism diseases on exercise tolerance and uses that information to help develop new ways of treating disease using exercise and nutrition. He also studies new ways of testing and training elite athletes to help improve performance in competition.
